At this year’s Guangzhou Design Week, the light luxury whole-house customization brand Zhemu High-End Customization partnered with Chinese designer Fang Zhenpeng to introduce a sustainable development concept, unveiling innovative mortise-and-tenon-free furniture that made a stunning debut.

On December 7, Mr. Timothy Fok, General Manager of Hong Kong Henry Fok Group, Member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Member of the 8th to 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, visited the exhibition. He personally experienced the mortise-and-tenon-free furniture, engaged in discussions with designer Fang Zhenpeng and Zhemu High-End Customization Chairman Yu Chengchao, and highly praised the innovation.

Among the many exhibition booths, Zhemu High-End Customization showcased innovative mortise-and-tenon-free furniture alongside a series of modular furniture, embodying the concept of sustainable development. By modernizing the wisdom of ancient mortise-and-tenon craftsmanship through precision mechanical processing, the brand simplifies complex structures while enabling quick assembly and disassembly. After years of research and practical exploration, this approach has led to the development of modular furniture and prefabricated architecture, establishing a systematic mortise-and-tenon structure that aligns with sustainability—referred to as "programmable contemporary mortise-and-tenon."
